This adorable princess just turned one! We had so much fun documenting Aria’s special milestone with a cake smash photo session in my studio. After all the cake and dress up fun, we headed to the beach for a few quick portraits in the beautiful sunshine.

Aria – Santa Barbara newborn photography
How adorable is this little munchkin? Sweet baby girl Aria was ready to party during her session but took a little nap eventually. She is used to some action in this world already. Getting evacuated during the Montecito mudslides made posing for a few photos seem like a piece of cake. I’m sure Aria and her super awesome parents are definitely ready for many more great adventures together :)
Layla is one – San Jose cake smash photo session
Oh we had so much fun with Layla, documenting her first cake smash. Her “doggie brother” Odin has been by Layla’s side ever since she was born, so of course, he had to help her with some celebrating and cake-eating. It was a little tense at first but they decided to share after all. The first photo is one of my favorites, their expression is just priceless :)
Ted & Carly – Santa Barbara proposal
Not only spring is in the air, but also a whole lot of love! Ted contacted me to photograph his surprise proposal to his girlfriend Carly. His master plan worked out perfectly, and of course, she said YES at one of the most beautiful beaches in Santa Barbara. Those two are a very sweet couple and it was really special to document such a happy milestone in their lives. I must say, it was so much fun working as an invisible paparazzi on a wide open beach :)
